A 23‑year‑old suspect from Homagama has been arrested in connection with an attempted murder by shooting in Dehiwala earlier this month.
Police said the incident occurred on August 4 in the Kadawatha Road area of the Dehiwala Police Division, where a gunman attempted to shoot and kill a man.
Following investigations, the suspect, identified as the gunman, was apprehended last evening (09) in the Habarakada area of Athurugiriya by a team from the Jayawardanapura Police Special Task Force camp.
The suspect was handed over to the Dehiwala Police Station, which is conducting further investigations into the case. (Newswire)
