32 schoolchildren were injured when the bus in which they were travelling had crashed into a tree due to the breaks failing in Handugala, Walasmulla.
The accident had taken plce whole returning from an educational trip.
The injured students have been admitted to Walasmulla hospital.
Further investigations are being conducted
