40th Golden Battle of Kegalle on March 25,26

The 40th cricket big match between St. Mary’s College, Kegalle, and Kegalu Vidyalaya, known as the ‘Golden Battle of Kegalle’ will be played on March 25 and 26 at the Kegalle public ground.

The big match was started as a one-day affair and later converted into a two-day match. St. Mary’s College has won several matches and the rest of the matches were drawn. The last out-right victory was recorded by St. Mary’s College in 2017. Sri Lanka Test cap Tharanga Paranavithana and National team member Chaminda Bandara are products of St. Mary’s College. The one-day match between the two schools will be played on April 2 at the same venue.
