For the first time in Sri Lanka the newly opened 7 Degrees Restaurant in Park Road Colombo 5, has introduced an immersive dining experience, dubbed as ‘Immerse’.
Founding sibling duo Heshani Malwenna and Nalin Malwenna, said that they have created a special area in their five storied 7 Degrees Restaurant to launch this service, where special live themes would be provided when guests are dining.
“This ‘Immerse’ is a very popular up market dining experience in the world but it is the first time it’s being introduced to the South Asian region.” “I have lived and worked in Dubai for most of my life. I love Sri Lanka but each time I visited the island, I found that there was so much more we could offer in terms of entertainment and nightlife.”
“Opening my own space has always been a dream of mine and after everything Sri Lanka has been through, I made it my mission to give back to my country in the way I knew best. I wanted to bring a slice of Emirati luxury back home through opening the doors to 7 Degrees.”
The total investment for the project is in the excess of Rs. 30 million and most of the equipment were imported while furniture and decor was designed and made in Sri Lanka.
The 7 Degrees Restaurants host’s three unique concepts in one space, with the first floor, dubbed Amazoniko offering a Fusion Bistro & Bar serving up classic dishes with a unique twist. “Open exclusively for dinner service, the bistro will be made available for private functions during the day, with plans to host theme nights and dance shows in the near future.”
The restaurant also offers rooftop open-air space that can accommodate up to 35 and is equipped with multiple projectors showcasing ongoing games and matches.
The second level of the third floor boasts incredible views of Colombo’s skyline with three private cabanas that can accommodate up to 6 guests each. The next floor at 7 Degrees has a VIP Lounge area.
