A 76-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an investigation into the alleged acquisition of property and assets through illegal drug trafficking, police said.
The suspect was arrested on Friday (11) by officers of the Illegal Assets Investigation Unit of the Central Crime Investigation Bureau.
The suspect is a resident of Boralesgamuwa.
Further investigations have revealed that a house valued at nearly Rs. 30 million in a luxury housing complex in the Gampaha area is registered in the suspect’s name, police said.
