MP Yadamini Gunawardena recently reviewed the progress of his project to establish the first Cinema exclusively for children in Sri Lanka, and has also secured the necessary funds for it, while the Colombo Municipal Council (CMC) has taken full responsibility to operate this children’s Cinema for the first time in the country.
MP Gunawardena speaking about this initiative, said that the children’s Cinema will contribute much to protect the country’s cultural and environmental heritage, and develop the correct attitudes in children necessary for the future progress of the country.
CMC Chief Librarian Varunee Gangabadaarachchi, Architects and Municipal officials attended the event.
