Acuity Knowledge Partners (Acuity), a leading provider of bespoke research, analytics and technology solutions to the financial services sector, has reaffirmed its commitment to fostering financial expertise in Sri Lanka through an ongoing partnership with the CFA Society Sri Lanka.
Acuity has been the official training partner for the CFA Research Challenge in Sri Lanka for the past five years, providing fully fledged training on financial modeling and investment report writingfor the participants.
This year’s programme covered content on industry analysis, financial modeling, revenue and cost drivers, forecasting, balancing financial models, relative and discounted cash flow valuation, and investment note writing.

The training programme was conducted by Rihab Faisal, Assistant Director and Head of Training of Acuity Knowledge Partners Sri Lanka and was held at Acuity office premises at the World Trade Center, Colomboin two batches spanning two weeks.With more than 50 undergraduates participating onsite and an additional 40 attending online, this year’s training programme for the CFA Research Challenge Trophy was Acuity’s largest to date.
This initiative aims to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and professional finance practiceby providing undergraduates participating in the CFA Research Challenge with exposure to financial modeling and investment expertise. All competition participants are given the opportunity to understand what is required to successfully compete and strive for victory in this highly competitive trophy where multiple teams of university undergraduates compete.
