Agrasravaka Relics displayed to mark Thai King’s birthday

At the request of the Thailand Government, the Relics of Agrasravaka, which have been placed in Dambadiva Sanchi Chetiyagiri Temple for 75 years since 1947, have brought to Thailand for the pilgrimage of Thai devotees for the commemoration of the 72nd birthday of Thailand’s King Maharaja Vajiralongkorn.

The Agrasravaka Relics, that arrived in Thailand on the 24th of last month, were displayed until March 18 at the Sanam Luang Pavilion in the Pahara District of Bangkok and – Ho kum Luang Royal Park Rajapruek Chiang Province. The Chief Incumbent of Japan, President of the Sri Lanka Mahabodhi Association, and the Head of the Dambadiva Sanchi Chethiyagiri Vihara Most Ven. Banagala Upatissa Thera, who visited Thailand on the occasion of the Relics display, have become the most popular figure among the Buddhist people in Thailand these days.
