Air Astana Airlines commenced direct charter flights between Kazakhstan and Colombo from yesterday. The airline based in Kazakhstan will operate 4 weekly flights. The inaugural flight landed at BIA at 12.50hrs yesterday, with 165 international tourists.
Airport and Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) Limited welcomed the inaugural flight with a water cannon and Sri Lanka Tourism Promotions Bureau had organized a Traditional dancing performance to welcome the airline crew and the passengers.
