Alighar National School, Eravur, Batticaloa qualified for the semi final with a comfortable 5 goals to nil win against St. Henry’s College, Jaffna, in their under 20 all Island, division 1 quarter final game of “THE BALL BLASTER 2023”, Sponsored by srilankankansportstv, organised and conducted by the Ministry of Education and Sri-Lanka Schools Football Association, played at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium, Colombo recently.
In a 90 minutes play ( 45 minutes of each half), Alighar National School, Eravur, Batticaloa, took the lead in the 23rd minute of the 1st half, when R..M. Ihsan scored the goal to put Alighar National School ahead by a solitary goal to nil at the half time.
Alighar National School, bounced back strongly in the second half to score 4 more goals from the boot of M.M.M. Munsif in the the 05th minute ( 50th minute of play), followed by another in the 09th minute ( 54th minute of play), R.M. Ihsan scoring his second goal in the 35th minute ( 80th minute of play) and M.Thilham scoring the 5th goal in the 43rd minute ( 88th minute of play), gave them a comfortable win to enter the semi final of “THE BALL BLASTER 2023”.
