Police yesterday succeeded in apprehending another person in connection with the shooting that took place opposite the Panadura Base Hospital from the Hirana area.
The arrest was made following a lengthy statement obtained from the ambulance driver who was allegedly targeted by the unidentified gunmen opposite the hospital.
The suspect has been working as the cashier of the drug dealer Piyum Hansaka who is reportedly hiding in Dubai.
Five persons have already been arrested in connection with the incident. Police said that few more suspects are to be arrested over this incident.
