Anura Vidyalaya, Matara anchored by a quickfire 106 off 70 balls by skipper Rishmi Sanjana cruised to the prequater-finals of the girls under 19 division II cricket tournament when they overcame Kegalu Balika Vidyalaya by 146 at the Sanath Jayasuriya ground Matara on Monday.
Invited to bat first Anura Vidyalaya scored 277/9, in their 30 overs. In addition to Rishmi’s 106 which included 15 boundaries and a six, Rashmika Sewwandi and Dumalsha Radishani chipped in with 30 plus scores. Kavithma Liyanage was the pick of the bowlers with a three wicket haul. The Anura Vidyalaya bowlers restricted the Kegalu Vidyalaya team to 131/6 in 30 overs. Dewmini Rathnayake scored an unbeaten 35 while Dumaisha Radishani captured two wickets
