The People’s Action For Free and Fair Election (PAFFREL) organization has suggested that candidates running for the general election should appoint a separate individual to manage their expense and income reports.
PAFFREL Executive Director Rohana Hettiarachchi pointed out that failing to do so may result in candidates facing similar difficulties that some experienced during the last presidential election when submitting their financial reports.
He emphasized the importance of being aware of this matter and noted that appointing a separate person to handle income and expense reports immediately after the election could minimise challenges.
He made these comments in response to a media inquiry yesterday (19).
