The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the proposal to present the Appropriation Bill for the financial year 2027 to Parliament.
Approval to prepare the Bill was first granted at the Cabinet meeting held on 30 June 2026.
The draft, prepared by the Legal Draftsman, has since received clearance from the Attorney General.
The Bill will now be published in the Government Gazette before being tabled in Parliament for approval.
The proposal was presented by the President, in his capacity as Minister of Finance, Economic Stabilization, and National Policies, and subsequently endorsed by the Cabinet. (Newswire)
