Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has announced a 15-member men’s cricket team for the Asian Games 2026 in Japan, with Sahan Arachchige appointed captain.
The team includes experienced players Niroshan Dickwella, Chamika Karunaratne, Nuwan Thushara and Binura Fernando, alongside several emerging cricketers.
Dickwella has been named the wicketkeeper, while the team also features Lasith Croospulle, Sineth Jayawardena, Nuwanidu Fernando and Ashen Bandara.
The spin-bowling options include Vijayakanth Viyaskanth, Dushan Hemantha and Tharindu Ratnayake.
According to SLC, the team is scheduled to leave for Japan on Sept. 24.
