Assetline ‘Deshayata Jawayak’ covers North-Western Province

Assetline Finance Limited, a finance company licensed by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka, recently conducted its ‘Deshayata Jawayak’ workshop on financial literacy and management for small and medium-scale entrepreneurs.

This programme, which was held in Kurunegala, covered participants from the North-Western Province.

The Kurunegala programme which was conducted by Chaminda Kumarasiri, Founder and President of the Asia Pacific Institute of Money and Entrepreneurship Development saw the participation of over hundred entrepreneurs of which more than 50% were females. This was extremely encouraging as Assetline is committed to promoting female entrepreneurship and their ‘Liya Diriya’ product, focuses on the empowerment of women. The session was extremely interactive with some of the more experienced businessmen sharing their success stories and inspiring other budding entrepreneurs.

‘Deshayata Jawayak’ is a CSR initiative dedicated to enhancing the skills of local entrepreneurs in business development, covering aspects such as identifying opportunities and challenges in the current economic environment, and leveraging new technology. This is the third such programme, with the first and second being held in Matara and Batticaloa covering the Southern and Eastern Provinces respectively.
