An attempted shooting of a fisherman at the Dodanduwa Fishery Harbour in Hikkaduwa was thwarted after the assailant’s firearm misfired twice, the Police Media Spokesperson said.
The attack, allegedly linked to a financial dispute, was carried out by two individuals who arrived at the scene on a motorbike. One suspect has been identified, and investigations are ongoing to apprehend the perpetrators. (Newswire)
