State Minister of Finance Shehan Semasinghe said that the efforts made by political forces to destabilize the restructuring of foreign debt, by delaying the domestic debt optimization program, have failed.
Tweeting in his official twitter, the State Minister mentioned this. tating that judicial action was taken in connection with the gazette notification published on July 14 regarding the Inland Revenue (Amended) Bill, which was one of the steps in this destabilization process, the State Minister points out that according to the decision of the Supreme Court in relation to that, local economic stability and that foreign credibility has been secured.
Accordingly, the State Minister further stated that the attempts made by the forces which were working to achieve narrow political goals by weakening the developing economy and the country, destabilizing the country had failed.
