A student of Ananda Balika Vidyalaya Ayushmanthya Irajini Karunaratne has won a Gold Medal at the South Asia Karate Championship 2023 at Kathmandu, Nepal recently.
A felicitation ceremony was held at the school premises on December 12. It was held under the patronage of Principal W.B.G. Kumudini. Ayushmanthya was welcomed at the Maligakanda Junction and paraded to school premises with the school band.
Deputy Principal D.N. Sumanasena, Vice Principals Manjula Dissanayake, Udayani Pathirana, teacher in charge Kumudu Perera, Sandunika Peiris, Fathima Ijasa, along with coaches Wasantha Senevirathna, Kumudu Priyanka, Prefects and OGA members, Commonwealth Games 2018 Weightlifting Bronze Medalist Chamari Warnakulasuriya, Head Prefect Oshindi Nethara, teachers and students were present on the occasion.
