Barcelona Football Academy coaching staff has done a tremendous job in guiding the under 10 12 14 and 16 teams, where they have excelled by winning the Championships in the under 12/14 and 16 categories and emerging third place in the under 10 category of the Goodwill Youth 9-A-side Soccer tournament 2023, held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia recently.
The experienced set of coaches under the Head Coach, Kamaldeen Kabeer, Ex Sri Lankan National player,( Captain of the Sri Lanka team in 1999 ) and Founder of Barcelona Academy, who started the Academy was mainly to boost the Football career of the younger generation from the grassroot level and he is pleased with the performances of these juniors, the way these juniors have showcased their talents at this Goodwill Youth Soccer tournament in Malaysia.
Barcelona’s Football Academy vision is to guide these youngsters on the right path with the basics of the game, the participation of these youngsters at this overseas tournament has gained them an experience with much exposure, playing at this tournament.
The coaches, who has a wide experience in the game has been assigned to the respective categories for the betterment of their future Football career, where they have proved and brought honour and glory to our Motherland and to their respective Schools by winning the under 12 /14 and 16 Championships in Malaysia.
