At least 61 persons including three children have been injured and hospitalised following a head-on bus collision in Gandara area yesterday (19).
A bus running from Embilipitiya to Matara and a bus running from Tangalle to Matara collided on the Matara- Tangalle main road.
61 injured persons including three children, one foreign national and 30 women have been admitted to the Matara hospital. Police stressed that primary investigations have revealed that the accident is a result of speeding.
