A private bus driver arrested by the Police for making an obscene hand gesture at woman driving a car was released on a surety bail of Rs.100,000 by Colombo Additional Magistrate Pasan Amarasinghe yesterday.
A 44-year-old woman residing in Colombo 7 had lodged a complaint with the Bambalapitiya Police regarding this incident.
She had complained that while she was travelling in the car with his daughter in the Colombo seven area a driver operating a bus on the 138 route had blocked her car and when she tried to divert past the vehicle he had made an obscene hand gesture.
Police who conducted the investigation, arrested the suspect and brought him to Court yesterday (12).
