The public should conduct struggles to obtain an immediate General Election amidst the present unstable situation in the country, said the leader of the National People’s Power (NPP), MP Anura Kumara Dissanayake.
He stated this addressing a seminar organized by the NPP at the auditorium of the National Youth Services Council on Sunday.
The NPP leader said the rulers of this country learnt unforgettable lessons from the struggles held recently and added that among the participants of these struggles were some groups of people who never expected to join such a giant movement.
Stressing that the struggle against corruption, fraud and theft should be continued even in the future, Dissanayake said the struggle to protect democracy and restore the economy should also be continued further.
