The case filed against four accused including English tutor Sakvithi Ranasinghe and his wife for violating the Finance Act, was on Wednesday fixed for December 12 by the Colombo High Court.
The case was taken up before Colombo High Court Judge Namal Balalle.
The Attorney General had filed a case in 2015 against four accused including Sakvithi Ranasinghe and his wife under three counts including violation of the Finance Act 1978 by running a financial institution named ‘Sakvithi Construction House Private Limited’ during the period November 1, 2006 to September 31, 2008.
The prosecution had listed 11 items as productions while named 151 witnesses as the prosecution witnesses. At a previous occasion, the third and the fourth accused were released from the case.
