CBSL Bill is Consistent with the Constitution

Supreme Court today has in a Special Determination ruled that the Central Bank Amendment Act is consistent with the constitution. Therefore, it can be passed in the parliament with a simple majority.

Special Determination was heard by the Supreme Court bench consisting of justices Priyantha Jayawardena PC, Kumudini Wickremesinghe and Arjuna Obeysekera.
