Darley Butler & Co. Ltd. joined hands with the producer of hygiene products in India, Nobel Hygiene Pvt Ltd, in 2019, with the aim of providing superior quality adult diapers, ‘Friends’, to elders of Sri Lanka.
Friends Diapers offer the ‘Best Fit Best Comfort’ and are designed to suit the Sri Lankan body type, offering high absorbency and the only diaper with antibacterial protection. The Friends product range includes FRIENDS Easy Open Diapers, Pull-up Dry Pants and Under-pads.
Friends Diapers celebrated their 5th anniversary in Sri Lanka on July 6, with the participation of chemists and retailers from around the country. Among the invitees were special guests, Kamal Johari, Founder and Managing Director of Nobel Hygiene Pvt Ltd, along with executive team. On behalf of Helpage Sri Lanka Samantha Liyanawaduge, Executive Director and Chaminda de Silva and on behalf of Darley Butler & Co. Ltd, Sanjeew Rajarathnam, Managing Director and other Directors along with senior managers were present.
This journey of becoming the number one diaper in Sri Lanka in a short span of five years, competing with giants in the market who had dominated over a long period of time was not an easy task.
The team from Darley Butler & Co. Ltd worked tremendously hard to prove the quality and benefits of Friends by a series of demonstration to the chemists and retailers, who understood the difference and supported immensely to convey the benefits offered by Friends to the users.
The main motive of the event was to value the chemists and retailerswho supported during the journey, since their identifying Friends as an unmatchable quality product and recommending Friends to their customers need to be appreciated at a higher level so the customers were awarded with tokens of appreciation on passing the benefit of Friends to their beloved customers. The designated distributors covering the whole island and assisting in making Friends available even in farthest of places and who were with Friends from start were awarded with tokens of appreciation including the sales team.
Darley Butler & Co. Ltd and Friends Diapers have completed many corporate social responsibility projects over the past years, especially joining hands with Helpage Sri Lanka to serve the disadvantaged elders in society.
