Chathurya, Savini win mixed doubles title

Chathurya Nilaweera partnered by Savini Jayasuriya beat Kenali Herath and Dilvan Herath 6/2 6/2 in the HNB-SLTA Clay Court Championship mixed doubles final as the tournament concluded at the SLTA courts yesterday.

Chathurya and Savini dominated the game from the beginning and never let their opponents to pose a threat as they won the match in comfortable straight sets.

Chathurya from Stafford International School had a superb tournament as he earlier won the men’s open singles title beating Zaidh Zihar of S. Thomas College, Mount Lavinia.
