Former India fast bowler Zaheer Khan has been named head coach of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) ahead of the 2027 Indian Premier League (IPL) season.
The appointment marks a new chapter for the five-time IPL champions following the departure of longtime head coach Stephen Fleming, who parted ways with the franchise in July after 17 years in charge.
Zaheer, a member of India’s 2011 World Cup-winning team, has previously held coaching and cricket management roles with Mumbai Indians and Lucknow Super Giants.
He served as Mumbai Indians’ director of cricket and later as the franchise’s global head of cricket development before joining Lucknow Super Giants as a mentor. (Newswire)
