Education Minister Dr. Susil Premajayantha said yesterday that the Chinese government has expressed its agreement to provide school students with the necessary uniforms free for next year. The minister also said that the government has been able to save Rs.6 billion due to receiving free uniforms from China. The minister also said that the Chinese government has expressed its agreement to provide the relevant stock of clothes to Sri Lanka after they receive details about the requirements.
He said this while joining the national event to distribute school textbooks at Homagama, Pitipana yesterday.
