The Human Trafficking, Smuggling Investigation and Maritime Crime Investigation Division of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) launched a special investigation into the details revealed by Nissanka Priyadarshana alias Dubai Sudda yesterday on human trafficking taking place in Middle Eastern countries involving Sri Lankan migrant workers. Nissanka Priyadarshana is a person well known for revealing details about human trafficking activities in the Middle East and he had recorded a statement in this regard with the CID yesterday.
The special investigation will be carried out based on the details revealed by him.
