Melanie Janine Kanaka, FCMA (UK), CGMA, the first Asian lady appointed as the President of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) recently met President Ranil Wickremesinghe.
The meeting was also attended by Dinesh Weerakkody, FCMA (UK), CGMA, Chair, Board of Investment/ Colombo Port City Economic Commission and Zahara Ansary, FCMA (UK), CGMA, Country Manager, AICPA & CIMA Sri Lanka.
They discussed areas relating to how CIMA’s CGMA-qualified accountants can help the economy as well as how AICPA and CIMA could support strengthening public sector capacity and competency building.
