Colombo Remand Prison emerge tennis champions

Colombo Remand Prison team emerged champions at the inter Prison Tennis tournament when they beat Sri Lanka Prison Emergency Action Tactical Force (SLPEATF) in the Inter Prison Tennis tournament concluded recently at Prison tennis courts.

The event is mainly conducted to make good friendship among Prison officials while it always good to see talented tennis players during this event, said Prison Tennis club Secretary Prison Commissioner Senaka Palletenna.

Over 130 players from 16 Prisons took part at this event. In fact for the first time this event was conducted under lights.

Thushara Upuldeniya the Prison Commissioner General, Assistant Commissioner General and Media Spokesman Chandana Ekanayake, K.A.S Kodituwakku Prison Commissioner (Industries) and Indrakumar Gananadan the National tennis coach were also present as especial guests.
