Commissioner General of Essential Services is empowered to issue orders to relevant officials

The Secretary to the President today pointed out that the Commissioner General of Essential Services has the full authority to issue instructions to the relevant officials including District Secretaries and Divisional Secretaries in terms of Section 5 of the Public Security Ordinance, a statement issued by the Presidential Media Division said today.

“It is inaccurate for the Opposition to make a misleading statement in Parliament on Monday (06) stating that the Commissioner General of Essential Services cannot give instructions to the DistrictbSecretaries, the statement said
