Katunayake Police said that they have arrested three persons including the Chief Security Officer (CSO) who broke into the warehouse of a garment factory in the Katunayake Free Trade Zone and stole a stock of T-shirts and shirts worth Rs.1.1 million stored there yesterday (22).
This theft was carried out last Monday (20) night by the Chief Security Officer of the same factory and two other persons.It has been revealed in the investigations that the chief security officer of this factory, who is an ex-military officer, directed this theft and they had planned to sell those stolen goods in the upcoming festival season.
The three arrested suspects and the car they used for this theft were arrested by the Katunayake Police and presented to the Magistrate’s Court yesterday (22).
