Daham, Rajika join Dilith’s MJP

Daham Sirisena, the son of former President Maithripala Sirisena, and former Member of Parliament Rajika Wickramasinghe joined the Mawbima Janatha Party (MJP) yesterday (3).

They expressed their support for the Mawbima Janatha Party led by entrepreneur Dilith Jayaweera during a meeting at the party headquarters in Colombo.

Rajika Wickramasinghe, who previously served as a Member of Parliament representing the Kegalle District for the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna, has been appointed as the Kegalle District and Dedigama organizer for the party. Meanwhile, Daham Sirisena has been appointed as the coordinator for the Polonnaruwa District.

Additionally, Chamindu Kumarasinghe has been named the Polonnaruwa District coordinator, while Thakshila Premasiri has taken on the role of Kandy District and Udunuwara organizer.

Sanjeewa Suraweera has been appointed as the organizer for Kandy and Hewahata electorate, while Thakshila Senaviratne has been designated as the organizer for Yatinuwara, and Thusitha Thilanka Jayasinghe has been named the organizer for Rathgama.

Currently, five former Members of Parliament are supporting and actively participating in the Mawbima Janatha Party under Dilith Jayaweera’s leadership.
