Dambulla Town which is known as a reputed tourist destination, now has become a garbage dumping centre causing inconveniences to the public as well as tourists, the public alleged.
They further said that Dambulla Municipality has abandoned the removing garbage accumulated in the town properly. As a result, heaps of garbage can be seen in the town premises.
According to the health officials, various diseases may be emancipated causing untold difficulties to the public under the prevailing situation.
Therefore, relevant authorities should take proper actions to avoid this state as soon as possible.
