contributed enormously to the advancement of creations through media programmes on criticism. Many unique academic books used frequently and won the respect of scholars, such as
The Social Face of Works (1984), Reality and Creation (1994), Cinema Theory and Criticism
(1995) were also written by him. He was also a teacher who provided knowledge and guidance to many people involved in literature in this country.
His remains will be open to the public to pay their last respects at the Lotus Hall of the Jayaratne
Funeral Parlour, Colombo from this morning (23) and the last rites will be held tomorrow (24) evening at the Borella Public Cemetery.
