Larval density rises to 15 per cent
68 MOH divisions are at high risk
Association of Health and Entomology Officers President Najith Sumanasena said yesterday (23) that the density of dengue mosquitoes may increase in the next two weeks.
He also stated that the Bitto index, which measures the larval density which was five percent, has now increased to 15 percent. He also said that 68 MOH divisions have been identified as dengue high-risk areas and dengue control programmes will be implemented based on those divisions in the coming period.
