The annual evaluation programme for senior citizens in Ratnapura and Kegalle districts was held under the theme “Detudana Uttama Pooja” on Friday (04) at the Provincial Council Auditorium in Ratnapura with the participation of Sabaragamuwa Provincial Governor Champa Janaki Rajaratne.
The Sabaragamuwa Provincial Ministry of Social Services and the Provincial Social Services Department had jointly organised it.
Elderly senior citizens representing all twenty-nine (29) Divisional Secretariat Divisions of Sabaragamuwa Province were present for this evaluation event.
There, the elderly community presented many cultural elements including dance, singing and drama.
Chief Secretary Mahinda S. Weerasuriya, Provincial Social Services Ministry Secretary Dinisha S. Ratnayake, Provincial Social Services Commissioner Chathurika Ratnayake, Provincial Social Services Director Kasun Habarakada and several others attended the event.
