The 117th Annual General Meeting of the Automobile Association of Ceylon established in 1904 was held recently at the Association Auditorium and Dhammika Attygalle was re-elected as President.
Whilst the members appreciated the manner in which the arrangement had been made for the meeting, they also commended on the excellent performance of the President and the Executive Committee members of their achievements during the year 2021.
There was much recognition for the record financial achievement of Rs. 17.8 million net profit earned after taxation, which is 33.3% increase in comparison to the previous year. This was despite the C-19 virus State lockdown in the first three months of this period.
The President of the Association, Attygalle from the chair proposed the name of President of Sri Lanka as Patron of the Association and Piyankara Jayaratne M.P (Life Member) and Sasana Keerthi Sri Lanka Puthra Nandadasa Rajapaksa (Life Member) Emeritus Chairman D.S.I. Group as Vice Patrons, which were carried unanimously.
