Diana Gamage gets European Parliamentary Friendship Association appointment

The European Parliamentary Friendship Association (SLEPFA) has appointed State Tourism Minister Diana Gamage as their Vice President.

The appointment comes as part of the recognition of Gamage’s long-standing work to improve parliamentary relations between the two countries.

Gamage is seen to be a pivotal player in attracting Foreign Direct Investment into the country. She will also play a role in tourism promotion.

“Currently the State Minister is in serious discussions with a number of European countries including the UK,” said Tourism State Ministry Co-ordinating Secretary Dr. Arosha Fernando. SS
