The Sri Lankan Rupee has appreciated significantly against the US Dollar across commercial banks in Sri Lanka today (15), compared to last Friday, with the selling rate dropping to Rs. 336 in some banks.
According to Seylan Bank, the buying and selling rates of the US dollar decreased from Rs. 327.75 to RS. 325.25 and from Rs. 339.50 to Rs. 337, respectively.
At NDB Bank, the buying rate of the US dollar has decreased from Rs. 331.00 to Rs. 327.00, while the selling rate has also decreased from Rs. 340.00 to Rs. 336.00.
However, at People’s Bank, the buying rate of the US Dollar has decreased from Rs. 329.95 to Rs. 326.02, while the selling rate has also decreased from Rs. 340.33 to Rs. 336.28.
Commercial Bank reports that the buying rate has decreased from Rs. 330.05 to Rs. 323.60 and the selling rate from Rs. 341.00 to Rs. 334.50, respectively.
At Sampath Bank, the buying and selling rates have decreased from Rs. 332.00 to Rs. 327.50 and from Rs. 341.00 to Rs. 336.50, respectively. (Newswire)
