The Weeragula Police say that a suspect was arrested with a very small pistol with a length of 10 centimetres manufactured in a foreign country.
The suspect is a 41-year-old father of one residing in Pilangoda area in the Weeragula Police Division.
The Police also said that the suspect is heavily addicted to drugs and that a case against the suspect is currently pending in Courts. Police investigations have also revealed that this small firearm known as Baby Pistol is in good working order.
The Police say that since this firearm is very small, it can be taken anywhere even in a trouser pocket unnoticed.
The Police are further investigating the incident.
