Kalutara North Police Crimes OIC made a raid and arrested a man who was in possession of drugs in a deserted house in Jawatte, Kalutara North, on Wednesday night, Kalutara North Police OIC CI Damith Jayathilaka told the Daily News yesterday.
Police officers arrested the man along with seven grammes of heroin, while he was packing them for sale.
The suspect was identified as Wadampulige Ranga (25), police said.
Kalutara North Police Crimes OIC SI Gurusinghe under the instructions of his OIC CI Damith Jayathilaka made the raid with a special police team.
The suspect is due to be produced before the Kalutara Magistrate today.
