Kurunegal District Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) organiser Amitha Bandara’s post of SJB Organiser has been cancelled with immediate effect by the Party as he was arrested recently with some harmful drugs by the Police.
SJB General Secretary Ranjith Madduma Bandara told the Daily News when he was contacted from Kurunegala on Friday (22) that his SJB membership too has been discontinued as a result of his arrest with harmful drugs. Both these decisions would be presented to the next SJB Working Committee meeting and the due approval would be obtained accordingly, he further said.
