Easter attacks : Former SIS Chief Suresh Sallay arrested

Former State Intelligence Service Chief, retired Major General Suresh Sallay, has been arrested, it is reported.

He has been taken into custody by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in connection with ongoing investigations into the 2019 Easter Sunday terrorist attacks.

Sallay has been accused of the failure to prevent the 2019 Easter Sunday bombings, one of the worst terror attacks in Sri Lanka’s history. He has, however, consistently denied the accusations. (Newswire)
