Suriyapura police arrested eight suspects for assaulting two people and damaging a three-wheeler following an argument between two groups during a musical show in Kantale, Suriyapura on New Year’s Eve. Police said that among the arrested suspects are a Navy soldier and a Civil Defence Force soldier in Kantale, Wan Ela. The attack took place when the crowd was dispersing at the end of the musical show.
