Eight investors have responded for the acquisition of shares in The Lanka Hospitals Corporation PLC when the government (GOSL) acting through The Ministry of Finance, Economic Stabilization and National Policies on November 18, 2023 called for Request for Qualification (RfQ) via international and local media.
The deadline for submission of proposals ended at 2 p.m. on November 21, 2023. The RfQs received were considered by the Opening Committee appointed by the Special Cabinet Appointed Negotiating Committee.
The 8 RfQ’s will be evaluated as per the Special Guidelines on Divestiture of State-Owned Enterprises approved by the Cabinet of Ministers in July 2023. International Finance Corporation, as Transaction Advisors for the divestiture of The Lanka Hospitals Corporation PLC, will continue to advise GOSL (RfQ) from potential investors.
