Extraordinary Gazette on organic & inorganic compounds, phosphorus derivatives import issued

An Extraordinary Gazette notification has been issued allowing the imports of organic and inorganic compounds, and phosphorous derivatives of fertilisers.
The same Gazette has also banned the import of Glyphosate.

The Extraordinary Gazette was issued by Finance Minister Basil Rajapaksa on November 30 under the Imports and Exports (control) Act.

According to the Gazette imports of organic and inorganic compounds and phosphorous derivatives of fertilisers are permitted after obtaining a special import licence.
