Favoured Afghans lost to Nepal in five setter

On the third day of the Central Asia Men’s Volleyball Challenge Cup saw the favorite for the day Afghanistan go down fighting against Nepal 3 sets to two. Nepalis did a strong job by holding the Afghanistan in the first set winning the same 25-19. Though they won this set Afghanistani players fought until the last moment coming closer at 23 – 20.

The second set saw Afghans make amends to overcome Nepali spikers from the beginning in all departments of the game to come to equal terms by winning the set 25-19. This victory in the second set was a moral booster for them. And they got off to a flying start scoring at will to outplay their opponents. They failed to have a good start during this third set but went ahead to take firm 2-1 set lead.

Nepalis came back gallantly soon after and managed to take the fourth set 25-21 which led the game go for the five setter which saw the Nepal take it in a simple manner at 15 points to 10 victory to take the set and the match.
